Q. What do you charge for postage?
A. Postage is free – the cost is included in what you pay for the card(s).
Q. Is there a bulk/multibuy discount?
A. Yes! You can buy 6 of the £2 cards for £10 (Buy 5 Get One Free), and any 4 of the £1.50 cards for £5, and any 6 of the £1 cards for £5. Contact Me if you’d like to mix and match – let me know which cards you would like and I’ll offer you a good price!
Q. What is the usual delivery time?
A. I post every order 1st class (Royal Mail) within 1 working day of the order being placed.
Q. Where does the artwork for the cards come from?
A. Until May 2018, the cards were all prints of my oil/acrylic paintings – you can see the originals on http://www.KatGibsonArt.com. There are still over 100 of my own designs that can be bought through this site. However, in May 2018 I started offering an opportunity to support budding artists and designers to take their first step into the world of greetings cards – see more details Here. Find out more about the artists in question Here. Get in touch if you’d be interested in becoming a DeeperCards artist/designer yourself, or if you know someone who might be interested in this exciting opportunity!
Q. Why ‘Deeper’ Cards?
A. I believe that greetings cards have a much deeper affect on people than a text or Facebook message. They make people feel loved, valued and important: worthy of your time and money. Most of the paintings seen on the card also have deeper meanings or stories behind them, many of which can be found on http://www.KatGibsonArt.com – but you can interpret them how you like! Also, this is not just any old selfish business: my desire is to have a positive impact in the world, and as such at least 10% of the income from all sales (10% of all income, not just from the profit) goes to charities working to benefit the poorest of the poor across the globe. Contact me if you’d like to know more!
Q. Can I get my card wrapped in cellophane like in the shops?
A. Yes – upon request. Until Spring 2018 all cards came cellophane wrapped like in the shops, but due to the environmental impact this is being phased out. You can still (at this stage) have yours wrapped in cellophane if you request it – but please bear in mind that if you do not request it you will probably not receive it wrapped in cellophane.
Q. What is the card-writing service – and what does that cost?
A. It is free! If you like I can write your personal message inside your chosen card and post it to your friend or relative, to save you the time and effort of writing and posting it yourself. Just drop me a message upon placing your order, with details of the message and the address.
Q. What is the environmental impact of printing, and buying, these cards?
A. Great question! I’ve cut back on cellophane wraps, and try hard to use as little wasteful/single-use material as possible. If you order 50+ cards they’ll be sent wrapped in recycled and reused grey-brown paper (I don’t buy paper for this!). If you order fewer than 50 cards they’ll be sent in a recyclable envelope, or loose in a reused and reusable jiffy bag. Regarding producing my cards, see my printer’s Green Policy below:
