As a child I was always a sketcher with a love for creativity. I was constantly encouraged by my late Grandad to be creative and I wanted to draw just like him. As my skill developed I realised I loved art and I started to experiment with art pencils and watercolours. My Grandpa, who I sadly never had the chance to know, had been very talented with watercolour and I was introduced to the same paints he used. I created my own technique as I tested ways to use these materials. As I grew my art began to focus specifically on landscapes. I would often go on holidays to Cumbria and take photographs or sit on moutaintops drawing on a pleasant day.

I later took a GCSE in Art and achieved highly which I always found an encouragement. After that I became more focused on A Levels and drew very rarely.

I am presently a student at the University of Nottingham studying for my Pharmacy degree. I enjoy drawing again in my spare time. And despite not having the opportunity to draw for a little while I have found that the gift God has blessed me with has not been lost but progressed to a new level . . .
