All in the Space of a Week

SEE THIS IN PRINT IN THE BOOK ‘PRAYER AND TRIVIALITY’, available on Amazon 🙂

Much can change

In the space of a week.

Heatwave to snowstorm –

In weather and in temperament.

They honoured him;

Wanted to make him King.

Within a week called for his death.

Was it selfishness, hatred or fear?

I decide something –

To live more wholly for him;

Within a week gone cold, forgotten.

The mind changes like the wind.

How about the other way?

Will my self-interest turn to love;

My lack of faith be thus transformed?

O Lord, please make it so.

The dead man walked –

It took less than three days.

The crucified man spoke and ate;

O resurrect my own heart.
