No offence, Lord, but I wish it were

On your list of priorities

Swiftly to provide what’s missing.

Enough times, I feel, I’ve had to

Neglect my planned schedule,

Saying sorry for lateness; but set off early.

Embarrassing, to say the least!

On the way to the Guild Hall, I again

Forgot how to get there.

Did you forget something, when

I was being assembled?

Really makes life difficult at times.

Ever dependent on the old Sat Nav,

Coming or going; near or far –

Though I may have been many times before,

I still manage to forget the route.

Often believing I was going the right way,

Nevertheless ending up lost once again.
